Connecting with People and Making a Difference

Shelly Tregembo is the Integrated Care Lead within the Office of the Clinical Director at the County of San Diego’s Behavioral Health Services department. Ms. Tregembo is responsible for developing and monitoring various integrated behavioral and physical health programs and is a certified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma process improvement. Ms. Tregembo earned a certificate in Strategic Management from UCSD in 2010, is an active member and past President of Uptown Rotary, board member for the Postpartum Health Alliance and is a proud graduate of LEAD San Diego’s IMPACT Class of 2012.
Ms. Tregembo joined Uptown Rotary in September of 2008 after a warm welcoming from members and experiencing the strong fellowship and commitment to service of the group. To her surprise, Uptown’s unique blend of quirkiness and humor actually made being at a meeting by 7am (ish!) palatable. A few dozen service projects later (including Rotary-sponsored service trips to Uganda, Oaxaca and Nicaragua), Ms. Tregembo continues to enjoy Uptown Rotary’s hands on approach to making a difference.
“Rotary provides a structured way for me to participate in service projects on a regular basis with results I can see. It’s not just about cutting a check. It’s about connecting with people and actually making a difference. And the fact that I get to do that with an amazing group of like minded do-gooders makes it even better!”
